Saint Bernard's Parish, Louisiana.May 26, 2006..Demolition teams work at leveling as many as 6,000+ homes in St. Bernard's Parish damaged by hurricane Katrina in August of 2005...FEMA is offering to destroy home for free up until June 30, 2006. About 12 homes are being demolished a day so far. Waiting for everything to be in place before beginning - sometimes workers wait hours for others to come to the site...Workers are outfitted in special clothing and masks and water is poured on to the debris as the homes have asepses. The water is to keep down the asepses fumes.
