War In America-Walter Reed Patients
Hanover, Maryland.USA.March 23, 2007..Soldiers injured in the Iraqi war are taken by Walter Reed Medical center for a day trip out of the hospital to the Arundel Mills Mall. Most are recovering from wounds and this is one of their first trips outside the hospital since their injury in Iraq. Most are amputees...Jerred Winters from Minnesota, who lost an arm in Iraq, is an athlete who used to be a award winning log roller. Now he is obsessed with fly fishing he claims and spends most of his mall visit searching for various fishing items...In the mall they begin to experience life in a normal setting and must maneuver daily life obstacles including being addressed and stared at by people.
